the life and times of moi

here's what's been going on with us these last few weeks.

1. we moved for the 5th time in 3 and half years. Finally a stable begining.

2. Katelyn is getting bigger and bigger and more little girlish and less babyish....i understand why we have more than one child...and apparently God isn't ready for Sanders #2 to come along. Well, its understandable with me having the surgery just 3 months ago. I'm in no rush! All in His timing.

3. we are heading up a bible study here at our new home. Marriage on the Rock by Jimmy Evans. Very excited about this and what God has in store for these 4 couples coming to the study.

4. I am throwing a baby shower on the 10th. Only my second shower to throw and am kinda nervous. I want it to be perfect but know there will be things i can do differently next time. Any suggestions?

5. Volleyball is still 2 nights a week and i am still loving it. I have started running again and can feel the body wanting to take it to the next level. I haven't really run in over 3 years and have missed it terribly. i am now just at a mile and a half and want to inch forward to run 4 miles a day, 4 days a week in under 32 minutes by thanksgiving. We're gonna see how well this whole goal setting works out.

6. Photography has kinda been on hold since we started moving and are moving in. Chris is urging me to get the word out and get more gigs.....i wish he would understand that it isn't that easy. I need to be more confident and possibly survey a few lighting classes before i can charge people. am i just scared? The church is wanting me to do more photography. That's a plus.

7. We are looking into getting me a vehicle. One car is starting to get tricky. Idealy it would be a toyota 4-runner. we just need to get a hold of our finances before we bite off even more than we already can't chew.

8. I am going to watching our pastor's son starting next week. He is a 3 year old fireball of energy! The differences in boys and girls is so amazing even at this young age. Katelyn will love having another little kid around to play with. It will only be for this semester but it will help out the pastor and his wife, help us out, and give Katelyn a playmate for a bit.

9. We are having a garage sale...and boy are we! just a few things we are selling: dryer, microwave, computer screen and keyboard, desk, queen futon frame, 2 rugs, oversized chair, 4 boxes of clothes, a box of towels....and the list will get bigger as we sort through the other boxes in the garage. hopefully we will make enough money to go buy the other things we need! hehe!

i guess that's about it for now.....

home....how close you are to me

The single action of turning a key. How we take it for grantid. I have longed for the day when I can turn that key and open a door into a place I call "home". MY home. Not the home I grew up in that will forever be open and never in need of a key for someone is always home. Not the places I have lived over the past 5 years where the key didn't even belong to me; it was on loan from the real owners. Not all my temporary places of exsitence.

Home. The place where the word warm comes from. The place where all that beats us up during the day seems to melt away and only the pidder padder of little feet, giggles galore, splashing in the bath and peaceful solitude of our neighbors not sharing a wall with us can be heard. The place where I lay my head down to sleep and dream of....nothing. For all that I have to dream of is inside these walls of mine.

I never knew how much I could love a simple little key. This key will open up so much in our lives and all I can do is praise God for orchestrating such an unbelievably wonderful time in our lives. We now have a home to entertain our friends and family. We now have a home to fellowship and study in. We now have a home to come to at the end of our long journey of a day. My daughter will now have a place of freedom where the walls seem to be infinite and the space even larger. She can freely run without worry and I too can sit and enjoy our space without fear of stairs and bugs and mold seeping through the ac vents. How I long for clean air for Katelyn to breathe.

Praise the Lord for His glorious blessings. He knows the desires of our heart and will never let us down.

My heart is overflowing....home here we come!
