Phew...what a week!

WHAT A WEEK!
Last week was filled with planning and preparation for the surprise get-a-way with the husband on friday. That was fantastic! It has been entirely too long since we have simply gone out with no pressure to return, by ourselves, and with the intention to reminded ourselves how wonderful it is to be with each other. We enjoyed out dinner immensly (Reata is my new favorite restaurant and the service was fantastic); the Improv show was hysterical; and sleeping in a king sized bed with the AC cranked to 65 dgrees snuggled next to my own personal heating blanket was divine. I have never slept in a more comfortable bed in my life. No eggageration. It was a wonderful (almost) 24 hours.
Sunday was a busy day of church and nursery working. Katelyn was sick and Chris left for 4+ hours to go work on a coffee table that he built. But on the flip side of that...Ktelyn ow has 2 more teeth than she did last week! My little girl is getting so much older....should we think about #2 yet?!!
Monday marked the begining of my prayerfully hopeful Photography career. We purchased some new equipment that has me incrediably excited about pursuing this new avenue in my life. I studied photo in college but didn't get to finish my degree. I have always loved taking pictures and have always dreamed of becoming a famous (or maybe just a very successful) photographer. Chris has been encouraging me and getting me gigs left and right! It started with him talking to a photographer at my volleyball game one night and him needing an assistant here and there. Well, a couple of weekends ago I worked at my very first wedding. It was a blast! Then just last week I shot his boss for a project proposal. This saturday I am going to shoot his co-worker's daughters at a park in Fort Worth. PLUS!!! His architect firm may (99% sure) want to use me to take pictures of the buildings they design and have built! How cool is that?! Now I just need to get over my fear of not being good enough. I am totally insecure and uneducated....I need to fix that.
Tuesday was pretty boring except for the begining stages of the surprise party. I was needing to find a way to get Chris over to his co-worker's house without him being suspicious. Easy enough....he had no clue I really didn't need to help Priscilla scrapbook! FOOLED YA!
Wednesday was his birthday and the frenzy that that brought. All of which resulted in Chris thouroughly enjoying his 29th birthday so it made it all worth it.
Which brings us to today...after napping today for 3 hours, I mananged to get the cake that I was responsible for AND get ready in time for the party. Proud-I know. And no I am not pregnant....I have been sick and very very tired because of that. The party was a huge success and Chris had no clue! It was a fun time and everyone laughed all evening.
Tomorrow brings another set of busy happenings.....lunch with my little (well not so little-he's 21, 6'4", 195lbs) brother and his girlfriend Rachel. Then at 730p I have to leave for my double header softball games in the 106 degree heat. Well, by then it should be down to 99 or so. Not really lookin forward to that after being sick for the past week. Say a little prayer for me.
